Overview

This position will be supervising the Night Warehouse Associate team and ensure smooth operations in the warehouse while maintaining safety, accuracy, and excellent customer service. This position reports into the Night Warehouse Manager. This position is an overnight role that starts at 9pm with the requirement to stay until shift end.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real time feedback on performance to your team, explaining performance targets and goals, sharing company objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring all proper inventory related processes are followed.
  • Responsible for assignment generation through our WMS (warehouse management system) program
  • Responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues originated from the WMS and Vocollect systems.
  • Provide leadership to designated direct reports ensuring expectations are met daily.
  • Identifying/resolving workplace problems and answer job related questions for team members as needed.
  • Responsible for gathering and maintaining internal documentation such as MHE (material handling equipment) reports, SQF (Safe Quality Food) and KPI (key performance indicators) documentation for team members.
  • Lead shift start up and shift hand off procedures and huddles.
  • Manage schedule creation and communication.
  • Partner with manager to issue attendance or other corrective actions to team members.
  • Responsible for performance reviews, introductory period (90 day) reviews, and skill level designation of team members.
  • Interview, select, and partner with HR to interview and extend offers to new hires.
  • Must be able to fill in for Area Lead as needed.
  • Adhere to the safety department protocols in regards to safety concerns or team member injuries.
  • Maintain a safe working environment to reduce injuries and workers compensation claims.
  • Food Safety monitoring and enforcement as it relates to this position.
  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent degree required.
  • Minimum two years’ perishable consumer products warehouse experience.
  • Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with WMS (warehouse management system) software preferred.
  • Must have proficient computer and Microsoft Office knowledge and skills, Produce Pro experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Experience driving trucks a plus.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify errors and inconsistencies.
  • Good communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively, in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Sense of urgency with ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must have a high regard for safety.
  • Ability to work with people in a professional manner in all types of situations.
  • Demonstrate good decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a cold warehouse environment (0 degrees to 40 degrees).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds plus on a regular basis.
